About the company

The carioca* Tina started her career in investment banking while still completing her Bachelors degree in Business Administration from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. Leaving behind her love for the Rio beach, in 1998 Tina headed to Germany for a two-month internship at a German bank.

After completion, she arrived in the UK to stay for three weeks, but spent three years working in Financial PR, at Gavin Anderson, until 2001. However, when offered a position as a Business Consultant at Accenture back in Rio, Tina seized the opportunity and headed back home. Later, as International Marketing Manager at Automatos, Tina managed a cross-functional marketing team and partnerships in US, Europe, Brazil and Asia.

Back in London (yeah, she really missed the weather), Tina joined GMI (Global Market Insite, Inc) to set up the marketing strategy for Europe. Developing the first EMEA Marketing Plan, managing PR agencies across Europe and running over 20 tradeshows and events a year, Tina learned to compare the responses from different cultures and markets to marketing campaigns, giving her a great deal of insight into cultural marketing. During this time, Tina operated PPC campaigns in 5 languages, achieving an increase in new-lead generation and branding of over 300%.

In 2006, Tina joined Tangozebra, UK’s leading provider of digital marketing technologies, as Marketing Director. Here she worked on the positioning of the company and rolled out pan-European marketing campaigns for emerging technologies, including mobile, in-gaming, IPTV and podcasting. Tangozebra was later acquired by DoubleClick, a global provider of adserving and search technologies; here she managed PR activities in the UK market for their entire product portfolio.

Tina has extensive knowledge of digital marketing, including PPC (pay-per-click) management tools, and SEO (Search Engine Optimization). Her strategic vision of online and digital marketing trends is a key part of her consultative work.

Tina speaks four languages: her native language, Portuguese (‘Brazilian Portuguese, please!’ she says), English as a native speaker, is fluent in Spanish and has intermediate German.

Tina is a member and holds a Postgraduate Professional Diploma in Marketing from the CIM (Charttered Institute of Marketing).
